Lily Jorns

Osteosarcoma

Lily is a spunky, funny, daring four-year-old who was found to have a tumor in her right femur in February 2022 after a fracture to her leg from a fall with climbing. Given the size of the tumor, she underwent a biopsy that led to the diagnosis of Osteosarcoma despite being extremely rare at her age. She has undergone two very long surgeries in May and recently in August to reconstruct and save her leg with the use of a donor arm bone. With the amazing care of her many excellent physicians, the loving care of her parents, and the support of her family, she will complete chemotherapy after a long nine months in early November. Through all the challenges, Lily never stops smiling and faces every day with fierceness and a soul well beyond her years.
